Eligibility
Who is eligible to apply?
Freshmen and sophomore college students who are underrepresented in the biomedical sciences are encouraged to apply. Students must have attended a tribal college for at least one complete semester.
Historically, individuals who have been found to be underrepresented in biomedical research include, but are not limited to, U.S. citizens who are African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and natives of the U.S. Pacific Islands. Those who apply should be committed to taking introductory and intermediate-level courses in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Mathematics, and Computer Science.
Minority (including but not limited to African-American, Hispanic, Native American, Pacific Islander). It is recommended that students have successfully completed general level Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology and/or Computer Science. Have accumulated or will accumulate 12 credit hours. Full-time student. Commitment to completing the summer component of the program.
